Our Barrel Aquaponics Systems are the easiest way for you to get started with aquaponics. These systems are designed with a minimal footprint & minimal power consumption in mind. They are the ideal size for a condo lanai or for the backyard hobbyist (who does not want to make a large investment or deal with the construction involved in building an aquaponics system). Our turn-key systems include everything you need to get started with aquaponics, except for the plants! Each system includes: barrels, growing media, air & water pumps, timer, fish & worms. If these systems do not offer enough growing space for you, we also offer pre-built troughs which are the ideal size for family food production, as well as a class to teach you how to build, design & operate your own system.

Family Size System Kits
We offer several kit options for building your aquaponics system. We recognize that many people do not have construction experience or the necessary tools to get the job done, so we have made it as easy as possible to get started growing food in your backyard with aquaponics. We offer you any level of involvement in the construction of your system.
We have run all over town to gather the parts for the troughs. The parts are not available at any one place so we have made it easy for you. The trough kit includes 4 trough sides, food grade liner, bulkheads, polyurethane sealant, fasteners, and liner hold-downs. The trough sides have been cut to size, plywood fastened to the 2x4's, drilled for bulkheads, and are ready for screwing together. Simply take home, screw together 4 sides, install liner and bulkheads. If that seems like too much work for you then for a little more money we will do the assembly.
We have assembled all the components listed on the Friendly Aquaponics Micro System materials list. This kit will include our trough kits, raw foam, a fish tank, air and water pumps, all plumbing and water quality testing.
